Day 1 Nuwara Elliya / Kandy
On the first day we go to Nuwara Elliya, mountainous and considered the most beautiful region of Sri Lanka. On the way, we will stop at tea plantations, where, with a bit of luck, we will meet Plantation Tamils - women who collect tea leaves on plantations, called tea pluckers. These people were brought to Sri Lanka in the 19th century to work on tea plantations. Tea factories scattered across vast plantations are a common sight. We will visit one of them, where we will taste unblended tea.
At the tea factory, you will learn about the secrets of producing one of the most popular beverages in the world. You will be able to see the production line with subsequent stations constituting a chain of technological processes leading to the production of black or green tea.
On the way we will stop at a complex of waterfalls, called Ramboda. We will pass Hindu temples and in the city of Nuwara Elliya a moment of rest among the Victorian architecture, a visit to the town of Nuwara Elliya, the famous Baal Bazaar where you can buy branded sweatshirts, T-shirts, coats at surprisingly low prices. In Nuwara Ellia there is also the former governor’s house, currently the Grand Hotel, a golf course, the Hill Club (a British gentlemen’s club), a horse racing track, Gregory””s Lake. We will be at an altitude of approx. 1800 m above sea level.
From Nuwara Elliya we go to the former capital of Sri Lanka – Kandy, where we will visit the Temple of the Tooth of the Buddha (shoulders and knees should be covered) and hour-long shows of folk dances, acrobatics, juggling, dancing with ghosts, walking on hot coals, swallowing fire and smearing the body with fire.

Day 2 Peradeniya / Pinnawela
The next day, departure from the hotel after breakfast, sightseeing in Kandy (panoramic), visit to the grinding plant of precious and semi-precious stones – there are over 50 different types of gemstones in Sri Lanka, including sapphires, rubies and alexandrites. We will visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. It is an area of 70 ha, founded in the 14th century by the Sinhalese kings and changed to its current form of botanical gardens by the British in 1821. Over 4,000 trees grow here, including many rare species and endemics. The orchid garden presents the most beautiful hybrid varieties of these orchids. Many beautiful landscapes for photo lovers.
On the way to the hotel on the beach, visit the Ayurvedic Gardens (with a demonstration Ayurvedic massage), where you will see how pepper and vanilla, cardamom and cinnamon grow, many other species of exotic spices and herbs used by humans to prepare Ayurvedic medicines or cosmetics. That day you will also visit the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawela, where, depending on the time, you will see feeding baby elephants with a milk bottle or bathing elephants by the river. There will be an opportunity for tourists to bottle-feed elephants for an additional fee or to feed pregnant elephants with specially prepared fruits for them. In the vicinity of Pinnawela, you can optionally ride on the back of an elephant… various programs, with bathing with an elephant, shower from an elephant’s trunk). In the evening, return to the hotel.
