Package Description

Minimum duration 9 days Sri Lanka, Maldives 3-4 days – number of days depending on needs. Optimal duration of the trip is 15-17 days.

  • Entrance fees to the places mentioned in the program. (Payment can be made direct at site in LKR).
  • Lunch cost through-out the tour. We will assign all Sri Lankan Authentic Restaurants so that clients and pick and choose and pay directly.
  • Early check-in and late check-out. (Standard check-in time 14:00hrs and check-out time 12:00hrs)

Day 1 Colombo / Negombo

Arrival in Katunayeke (Colombo – CMB), then transfer to Colombo. City tour of Colombo.

Dinner & Overnight stay at

Colombo or Mt. Lavinia

Day 2 Mt. Lavinia / Ahangama

After breakfast, we go south towards the tsunami monuments, sea turtle hatchery , turtle beach in Hikkaduwa – you can see sea turtles there , a motorboat trip on the Madu River – Madu River Safari – with a visit to Cinnamon Island, where you can see a cinnamon plantation and the process its production. During the cruise we will also visit a Buddhist monastery . On the way south, we will visit the old but full of life Dutch fort in Galle (UNESCO, 17th century).

Ahangama

Day 3 Ahangama / Wellawaya / Diyaluma Falls

The program will be as follows: first we will reach Diyaluma Falls (travel time: 3 hours). After a short trek (about 30 minutes one way), we will have the opportunity to rest and enjoy the waterfall – you can swim there. Then we go to Rawana Falls to end the day in Ella, where we will cross the 9 Arches Bridge.

Day 4 Ella / Nuwara Elliya

Before breakfast, for those willing, there is a possibility of climbing to the top of “Little Adam’s Mountain” (about 40 minutes one way) before sunrise. There is also an option to see the “Mysterious Waterfall” and have fun while zip-lining over the picturesque, green Ella Gap Valley . In addition, hiking, cycling, scooter riding and many other attractions can be organized. After lunch we will visit the picturesque tea plantations on the way to the train station in Nanuoya (travel time from Nuwara Elliya to the train station in Nanuoya with a visit to the tea plantations approx.: 1 hour) to catch the “Oddysey” train to Nanuoya.

Day 5 Nuwara Ellia / Kandy

We will start after breakfast with a tour of the city of Nuwara Elliya and a visit to the religious site of Hinduism, the Temple dedicated to the goddess Gayathri , which is the only Hindu temple in the world with two statues of the five-headed goddess Gayathri. The next interesting point of our journey will be the Balee Bazar market , after which we will visit the fruit and vegetable market and then we will move to the horse racing track as well as go to the picturesque Gregory’s Lake located at the foot of the highest peak in Sri Lanka – Pidurutalagale (2524m above sea level). We will visit a tea factory , where we will see the complicated process of making the famous Ceylon tea. Tea tasting will be part of our visit to the factory. The next attraction of the day will be the Ramboda Falls with an optional lunch and/or climbing the waterfall.

Kandy

Day 6 Kandy / Dambulla

The day in Kandy (UNESCO) will begin at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya , the Museum and the cutting of precious and semi-precious stones with a presentation will be the next point on our program of visiting Ceylon and its cultural capital. In Kandy we will go to the Temple of the Relic of the Tooth of the Lord Buddha . There will be time for shopping in the second largest metropolis of this Asian country. After leaving Kandy we will visit the herbal and Ayurvedic gardens , where we will see many species of plants grown in the Matale region thanks to the blessing of the moderate climate. A demonstrative Ayurvedic therapeutic massage is also an attraction that makes up the stay in the gardens. During the Ayurvedic gardens you can see, among others: nutmeg, clove, rubber trees, sandalwood, curry bushes, cinnamon, vanilla, pepper, chilli, red pineapple, cardamom, cocoa and many others, including endemic species of Sri Lankan flora.

Day 7 Dambulla

The first attraction of the day will be Sigiriya (UNESCO) , Sri Lanka’s most famous monument. A fortress built on top of a metamorphic inselberg in the 5th century AD. The second main attraction will be a visit to the Minneria National Park. For those who want to spend their time more actively, there are options that can be done during the day such as a ladder wagon safari with a catamaran ride , a visit to a traditional village with a demonstration of the preparation of traditional Sri Lankan dishes, a visit to the “chena” plantations , a tuk ride – by car or tractor.

Dambulla

Day 8 Dambulla / Negombo

Relaxation on the beach , water sports, the atmosphere of a little Rome in Sri Lanka. Relaxing on the beach. By Sri Lankan standards, the nightlife is quite calm but varied, so in the evening there are several clubs offering a pleasant and cosmopolitan atmosphere, with live music and good food.

Day 9 Negombo / Katunayake Airport (CMB)

Transfer from Negombo to Katunayake airport (Colombo CMB) (journey time approximately 20 minutes), then check-in for the flight to the Maldives.

Arrive in the Maldives where you will be greeted by your hotel agent and transferred to your resort by fast boat or light aircraft.

Stay in the Maldives and return to Colombo from the Maldives by plane and then return to Poland.
